Description of the theory

-Technological Competency in Nursing is a conceptual model that presents the link between technology and caring in nursing as coexisting harmoniously
-The theory of Technological Competency as Caring in Nursing illuminates this coexistence as the essence of technology in health care premised on machine technologies as a generic concept of objects or things that are mechanical, organic, and electronic. With its timely development these technologies are continually imbued with artificial general intelligence.

support our patient physically but also emotionally ,mentally and spiritually
Aesthetics and Ethics and by this we can assure that we can fully give our whole care to
our client or patient

Locsin's General Assumptions

-Persons are whole or complete in the moment
-Knowing persons is practice process of nursing
-Nursing is a discipline and a professional practice
-Technology is used to know persons fully in the moment

Research and Uses

  1. Using technology to live

    -pacemaker
    -dialysis machine
   -prothetic limbs

2.In Nursing fosters the recognition and realization of persons as partcipants
in their care rather than objects

-Nursing and patients are now adopting the use of technology in their health care
-Patients can now access some of their data  in some hospital for them
to be aware of their health status
